Help out the locals:
Please remember when traveling to this spectacular destination, the locals are who make it special! Please help the community in anyway you can – for example, giving tips for work well done, employing our team (below), bringing old clothes, books, pens, paper – you name it, the locals will be so grateful!
Our Transkei Team:
Justin Sanders and Lee-Ann Smith:
Justin and Lee-Ann are the owners of the Swell Tours Guest Lodge. Justin is also Swell Tours Tour Guide.
Pam:
The main man who runs the place! Pam will be waiting for your arrival with the keys. He will stay there if needed or come everyday to check up and see if the guests need his help – by this I mean with ANYTHING – carrying things to the beach, taking you to good fishing / surfing spots, telling you local stories, organising crayfish, mussels, fish – you name it, he does it.
Pam works off tips so please help him out!
Nomsa:
Our cleaner – for all your washing and cleaning! If you would like Nomsa to make you the traditional Xhosa bread (which is totally delicious and better than any bread ever made!) just take some cake flour & yeast!
Nomsa works on a daily rate of R50 a day.
